tom bowes lead vocals

In 2000, Tommy met up with Dr. Stu Yurman and Dr. Dave Beyers, who co-founded the Steely Dan tribute band known as Stealin’ Dan and was invited to sit in. Things clicked and he was invited to join the band. Considering the fact that he was a huge Steely Dan fan, he jumped at the chance and it was a match made in heaven. It’s been such a blast to play some of the best music of its time with some of the best musicians he has had the pleasure of working with. Stealin Dan eventually changed its name to FM: A Steely Dan Tribute, and it’s still just as much of a musical joy as it was in the beginning…

Previously, from 1989 to 1995 Tommy was honored to join the legendary band Tower of Power as lead vocalist, recording and touring extensively with them. Over the years, he has also been blessed to be able to perform along side a wide range of artists including Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, YES drummer Alan White, Roger Daltrey, Dave Mason, Queen Latifah, The Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Spike Edney and Jamie Moses from Queen, Mark Hudson, Greg Adams, Will Lee, Michelle Shocked and many others. He can also be heard in some major motion pictures including, White Palace (Universal – 1990), View From the Top (Miramax-2003) and Shaolin Soccer (Miramax-2004).
